Not familiar with Maui. We are planning a trip over the Thanksgiving week and staying at the Ritz. Does anyone have any comments about the weather, at this location--Kapalua, that time of year?
Thanks.
Ritz Kapalua
Just got back a couple of weeks ago and stayed at the Kapalua Villas next door, weather was great, was expecting some brief rain at night which is normal for the area but it was dry the whole time. There was only one day when it was mostly cloudy/overcast.
Stopped at the Ritz for a drink/lunch and it was incredibly windy as usual. It always seems to be windy there regardless of when you go due to the location. The Villas (a 5-minute drive away) was calm with no wind. That time of year, I would recommend staying in Wailea (lots of nicer properties there and much better weather)

We were there for a week at the end of Aug and it was almost too warm. The breezes dont usually kick in until noon, so if you dont like the wind, go to the beach or pool early. We really liked the location and appreciated the breeze. It only rained 1 day for about 20 minutes.
