Waikiki - Outrigger or the Hilton Hotel?

I am looking for recommendations for the best hotel out of the 2 above to stay at for my honeymoon in April 2007. Any advice or opinions will greatly appreciated.

I would say the HHV, but it does depend on what your ideal honeymoon would entail. HHV is on the end of Waikiki, so you won%26#39;t necessarily be in the middle of all the action, but the hotel itself is a great hotel with a very romantic landscape of lagoons and gardens. If you are looking for a little more action, then Outrigger would be your place. It is right in the middle of Waikiki and the beach, and is a very busy place. Both hotels are excellent, but have a little different pace to them.

We stayed at the Outrigger for our 25th anniversary and it was fantastic. We visited the Hilton while waiting for the Atlantis submarine (a must see). I liked the grounds at the Hilton but you were just too far from the Waikiki experience. Make sure you are booking at the Outrigger Main vs the Outrigger Reef property. We did the marriage vow renewal at the Reef property. Dukes restaurant and Charley%26#39;s steakhouse anre excellent places to eat on site

Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach is smaller than Hilton.

Hilton has a better beach.

Hilton is bigger, louder, has elaborate pools and is a REAL ';village'; with many shops, restaurants, people, etc.

BOTH are lovely places.

Frankly, for a honeymoon, you might consider a place that is more quiet? Kahala Mandarin or Ihilani???
