Waikiki usually has lighting and people on the beach till late at night. Most of the other beaches around the island have very little lighting.

i love waikiki at night. the shops and restaurants are open till late, so there%26#39;s heaps of people about still. there%26#39;s some street entertainers and buskers about to. It just has a really good atmosphere. They light torches along Kalakulua Ave at sunset.

have to check into it further, but they used to have sunset on the beach once a week. Where basically they set up a huge screen and played a movie for the public once the sun had set. They had food stalls and stuff set up. I%26#39;m not sure if it still happens. But when I was there 12mths ago, they had it set up down at Kuhio Beach and played the premier of season 2 of LOST. Pretty sweet - they had all the actors there . But like I said you%26#39;ll need to check it out and see if they still do it - that is if your interested.
