Best condo to stay in West Maui I'm confused!

I have searched and searched on the internet for days and read alot on this forum, maybe too much. I just hate to pay $4000 a week for a two bedroom condo and have it look like hotel 8 or have no beach front! Can anybody help me?

Best condo to stay in West Maui I'm confused!

Try vrbo.com. You can find so many 2bd/2ba condos on the water for 200-350. When you find something you think you will like, read the tourist reviews here and on other sites. You will be looking at the exact condo you will be in.

thanks I visted that site early on, so I will go back and revisit. Can%26#39;t wait to go we go in early May.

Hi. If you are budgeting $4,000 a week for your lodging you can bargain big time! But start today. Have you booked your airline yet? Assuming you have, then you have no need for ';bundled'; programs, so shop the many links provided right here for condos! I think you should start with The Whaler.

Enjoy!

Check out www.kahanaoasis.com We are going in June!!!!!!

There are three properties I would recommend. The Kaanapali Alii, The Whaler and the Mahana. Both the Alii and teh Whaler are right on Kaanapali Beach but they are pretty big facilities. The Whaler has about 360 apartments almost all with great views. The Alii has 264. Some of the units have great views some do not. Both facilities are busy which means if you want a seat at the pool you have to get there early. You can check out availability at vrbo.com. There are a number of owners who rent direct.

The Mahana has 215 apartments in two buildings that all face the ocean. It%26#39;s on Kaanapali beach but North of black rock so it%26#39;s a little bit away from main beach.

I counted six listings for the Alii, twelve for the Whaler and twelve for the Mahana on VRBO.

You can check out the interiors for some of these at whalersrealty.com

Best on Kaanapili Beach is The Whaler. In the middle of all the action and next door to The Whalers Shopping Center.

Many owners rent direct, depending on time of year it can be a savings. I agree go to www.vrbo.com and rent direct from owner, visit there web site for full details what there condo offers.

I think you should be avle to rent a 2 bedroom unit for under $400.oo per day.

Thanks so much for all of ya%26#39;lls advice. Can tell I%26#39;m from the south! I have booked my airfare. I was looking seriously at the Kaanapali Alii condo%26#39;s, but read some bad reviews. After reading another forum, several people mentioned that you should stay in Napli or Kahana to miss alot of the congestion. They said there is still real pretty beaches there and you are close enough to the action. Has anyone heard anything good about Napli Sunset, Makena Surf, Puunoa Beach Estates, or the Outrigger Kahana? Well I%26#39;m back to searching.

Our first choice was Napili, but nothing on the water held 5. We are staying in the Kahana area next week. If you give me your e-mail, I%26#39;ll advise once we%26#39;re there. I%26#39;m from Chattanooga, but imported from St. Louis. I agree with other posters about the Whaler and Mahana. Both look good.

I just finished viewing every 2 bedroom condos in vrbo. Not many are available for May. Please let me know all about your trip and the place you are staying. We are going May 7th to celebrate my oldest daughters college graduation and our 25th anniversary and of course my youngest daugther gets to go also. Email me at jmcmanus@midsouth.rr.com.

Vrbo 64791 and 18866 are both available then.64791 was one of our final choices, the other was booked.

We also liked 21861, but it was booked. The couple who own it are awesome--she e-mailed me about 5 people she knows who rent at the Papakea. (Sorry I already deleted it). Papakea gets mixed reviews, but I%26#39;m guessing the bad ones are rented through ResortQuest.

It is next to a swimming beach at Kaanapali Shores. Many are 1bd/1ba with loft as second bedroom.

These are at the Lokelani. The 2bd/2ba are townhouses with lanais at both levels. I liked them but by the time they got back to me, I had booked elsewhere. vrbo 20850,66147, and 10239. There are others there but they were booked our week and I did not write them down.

The last 2 on my list are at the Hololini, 64791(available) and 77882. I called Larry who owns 77882. He seemed very nice.

You might also try Chasenrainbows.com.

The place we are staying is booked that week. We had booked a place in January and read conflicting reports. We decided to change 11 days prior to arriving. I e-mailed all I was interested in who did not have calendar. There were at least 10 who could book then; some even had last minute specials.

Another option is the Entertainment Book. ResortQuest and Outrigger have half price rooms at all their resorts. Be careful though because the room we booked first through them would have no view because of the discount. If view is important, be sure to ask.

I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll find something you love. Have a great trip.
