We are vacationing in Maui May 19 thru June 2, 2007. We have heard that Wailea has the less wind and best weather vs. Pineapple Hill. Does anyone know this to be true?
Pineapple Hill versus Wailea
Yes, that%26#39;s true. If you like sunshine, Wailea is the place to go. They are also somewhat protected from the wind in the afternoon. Kapalua on the other hand, is very windy in the late morning and afternoon with less predictable sunshine. Both places are warm.
Pineapple Hill versus Wailea
We own in S. Kihei -- just at the border with Wailea. I%26#39;m not sure where this Pineapple Hill is located -- is it up in the residential area of Maui Meadows? (That would be up above Wailea.) Anyway, yes, Wailea is lovely. I like most everything from Makena up north to where the Kameole Beaches are in Kihei. North Kihei and Maalea are less desireable. In general, we prefer South Maui to West Maui.
I assumed Pineapple Hill was above Kapalua. So where exactly is this place?
Kapalua
