Yes.. I know seafood is king in Hawaii, but none of us ever developed a taste for fish (other than occasional tuna salad sandwich.... ). However, we will still be spending a week in the S. Kehei area in Spring 2007 (our first visit to Hawaii). We are a family with two teens (13 y/o boy %26amp; 15 y/o girl ) and will be seeking out some local eateries for dinners each night and the occasional lunch/snack.
Any good suggestions? We don%26#39;t necessarily need ';cheap'; food, just something that is not too ';fru-fru'; or fish (or both).
Thanks!!!

I would recommend
Bubba Gumps
Hard Rock Cafe
Hula Grill
Cheeseburger in Paradise
All have good food, good drinks, and great atmospheres. They are all reasonably priced, and places kids will enjoy.

There are also two Ruth%26#39;s Chris on Maui. One in Wailea and one in Lahaina. My wife can%26#39;t stand Seafood, and I love it, however, we had no problem at all of the resataurants we went to. Each had a beef or chicken option except for Sansei. She just watched me eat there.
Try CJ%26#39;s Deli %26amp; Diner for lunch if you%26#39;re up Kaanapali way during your stay...Aloha!!

I put my vote for CJ%26#39;s Comfort Zone also. We also took our boys several times to Moose McGillycuddy%26#39;s too. I know they have a bar but for breakfast and lunch it%26#39;s no big deal. The Hard Rock is always fun too. You get to enjoy memorabilia for your era and theirs.
I know those are all in West Maui. I%26#39;m no help in South Maui. Sorry
