Condo with teens

Need some help getting started. Would like to rent a 2 or 3 bedroom condo. Does not have to be on the beach, but able to walk to the beach. Need a/c, pools and would like to be within walking distance to a couple of places to eat. Would like to stay under $300. Thinking June or July.

Thanks, I have looked at VRBO. I%26#39;m just not sure of good locations or good properties. That%26#39;s why I posted the question to hopefully get advice from those who have gone before...

I think Hale Kamaole has three-BR condos. It%26#39;s across the street from Kamaole III beach park. We own at Maui Kamaole (next door), where there are one- and two-BRs. These are in the slower-paced South Maui. I%26#39;m not sure where in West Maui you will find three-BR condos.

I%26#39;d look for one near Kamaole-III beach in Kihei. Good luck!

Aloha!

You might look at the Papakea resort in Maui...usually, you can get a nice 2 bedroom there for under $300. If you rent through ResortQuest, they have A/C...and SOME private owners might offer it, too. The complex is family friendly, has three nice pool areas, pretty grounds, and a quick walk to a decent beach!

I think your teens would probably prefer West Maui so they%26#39;re closer to Lahaina and Kaanapali.

We rented from meetmeonmaui.com. LOVELY, and we had 2 teens along. No complaints :)

Appreciate the info. I am looking at Papakea, Kaapalani Shores and Napili Point. Condos that fit our needs and in my price range. . Any comparison or thoughts?

We had the same dilema. We%26#39;re taking 4 teenagers in March (ages 18-19) and they wanted to be within walking distance of lots of stuff since they aren%26#39;t old enough to drive the rental cars yet. After all of us did much research, we decided on a condo complex within walking distance of Lahaina. Puamana is the name of the complex. I was also told (hope this is true) that we can take a trolley back and forth between Lahaina and Kaanapali beach area.

You can rent from several sources. VBRO is one. Here are a couple others:

We ended up renting from puamanavacations and have a 3 bedroom, 31/2 bath reserved for $375/night. Good luck!
