Hawaii Honeymmon Planning Help

we are on the early stages of planing a hawai vacation, we don%26#39;t have set days but we hope to do it on first half 2007, avoiding the part of the season that would be too crowded.

We are thinking about 14 days and these are the options we are considering, Althou we don%26#39;t have a set budget yet we would like to extrech our every dollar.

1) 14 day hawaii island cruise.

2) 7 days on an island and then a 7 day hawaii cruise.

3) all the time on the islands, we would like to cover 2.

We are leanning towards the 3rd option right now. These are the things we would like to do/experience:

she wants al the romantic things, she%26#39;s a girly girl, romantic beach walks, sunsets, romantic dinners, etc

Seeing the volcano and pearl harbor would be nice but not crucial.

We would like to see nature and be on a relax atmosfere, at least half the time.

she would like to spend a few days in a nice hotel (hopefully with a hot tub on room)

go to a lua

whale watching, seing waterfalls, snorkeling ( if shalow, i don%26#39;t swim) are other activities we are considering.

we are on our mid 20%26#39;s, but we are not the party type of people, neither we like to shop a lot.

thanks for any help, feel free to list some sites for ideas or deals that we could see.

Aloha and welcome to the Hawaii forum! Well, everyone has their own opinions as well as each Hawaiian island is unique . . . and I heartily agree with your #3 choice . . . the whole point on being in Hawaii is to absorb the feeling that only comes with staying on, exploring and eating around the island of your choice. Besides the forum, you might pick up a copy (ies) of the Revealed books for the island(s) that you choose to visit. ex: Maui Revealed, etc.

It sounds to me that Kauai would be a good fit for you both - here is their main webpage for tourist info: www.kauaidiscovery.com It has the lush, tropical landscape . . waterfalls and great shallow snorkeling. I would highly recommend Smith%26#39;s luau for that choice.

www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/hawaii (this is a great site for any of the islands - lots to choose from)

For an active volcano, you need to go to the Big Island (Hawaii) and there is an extinct volcano on Maui.

However, one thing you could do if you have a full two weeks is spend 2 days on Oahu doing the tourist things there like Pearl Harbor, and then spend approximately one week on another 2 islands. It%26#39;s something to consider . . . as well as reading thru the trip reports posted on each islands forum - it%26#39;s a great way to learn about what works for people . . . I hope this helps get you started. For me, I like the really laid back approach, and I would pick one island and stay there the whole time - that is what I did for my honeymoon - never ran out of things to do. Congrats and best of luck! :)

Spend all the time on land.

Go to Oahu for a week and either Maui or Kauai for a week.

Much more to do on Oahu than any other island:
