which island to stay on

I am going to Hawaii on my honeymoon and I would like to stay somewhere that has nice beaches where we can relax and not a place like Miami beach but we also want to be able to go out at night and have some nightlife.

We were told that only oahu has nightlife and all of the other islands basically shut down at 8. Any suggestions on which island to stay on if we want the best of both words, relaxing beautiful beaches and nightlife????

Sorry, your only real choice is Miami Beach. I mean Waikiki. You could consider Maui too, it%26#39;s like a scaled down version of Waikiki. Even though some people here on TA claim even Hilo has a night life, trust me, Waikiki or Maui. That%26#39;s it.

The best of both worlds is Lahaina / Kaanapali, Maui. Beautiful and more relaxing than Waikiki but nice nightlife.

As others say Maui Kaanapali may be best. Though were passed through Miami Beach once, and for sure would go to Waikiki if those were our only choices.

Then we stay in Kihei when on Maui. Our night life is a couple of beers on beach watching the sun go down. r
