Indymama PS: 3 places in February

Forgot to say in my last post that we%26#39;ll be in Hawaii in mid-February. That could make a difference in your advice.

Thanks,

The only difference would be that you may see snow on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, in which case it will be really chilly at the Volcano area at night and early mornings. Bring jeans, socks, a sweatshirt and windbreaker (thin). Anyone staying at Volcano, any part of the year, should bring the same.

There may still be whales off-shore, and winter rain tends to fall any old time, rather than mostly at night (summer pattern). If the El Nino does form up, we will probably have a drier season, as our rain moves up to California and maybe Oregon to get them wet.

January through March is a very busy season, with %26#39;snowbirds%26#39; from northern states in town, so make those reservations soon.
