Back Country Tubing.

Hi everyone! My sister and I will be on Kauai May 5th ~ 12. I was wondering if anybody is familar with the Kauai backcountry tubing Adventure? Your likes and dislikes, and how deep the water is in the canals, should you fall off?

Thanks in advance!

It was incredibly fun! We liked it even more than the zipline. They are very safety conscious. At one point I slipped off the tube in a swift water area and immediately one of the crew was there to help me get back on the tube. I highly recommend the trip. Debbie

About how deep is the water, and do they provide life vests?

Thanks Debbie, I%26#39;m Lori!

thanks for the info...my husband and I would like to do this also, we%26#39;ll be there 4/28 - May 5th..anymore info would be appreciated

Yes, they provide a life vest and a helmet with a light so you can see in the long tunnels. When I fell off the water was about waist high. I was the only one in the group who fell off their tube! You also wear water shoes so your feet will be protected. You will kick off the sides of the canals and in the tunnels. The trip is very organized and the staff are incredible. Be sure to make reservations ASAP since they fill up very quickly. Debbie

I second DebbieScz%26#39;s recommendation.

We had a blast. One guide is at the front and one at the back, so nobody gets left behind. They are usually walking so its not very deep. Be sure to bring a waterproof camera so you can take pictures of each other. It%26#39;s very fun, spinning around and bouncing off the walls and each other.

Highly recommend it.

Mahalo! This sounds like a Blast! Is the water pretty warm? How far in advance should we reserve?

Very cool, can%26#39;t wait!

RESERVATIONS FOR TUBING with Back Country.

Good advice on booking early. This might be one of the only activities that you might want to book prior to arriving.

When we booked our Tubing adventure, we did it on our first day. Were not able to get in until just prior to going back to the mainland. The only reason we we made it, was that we were there for two weeks.

At that time, those who only had a week, were out of luck. Totally booked up.

Tubing is very MILD....very safe..very easy..and lots of fun. The water is very shallow, as guides walk along with you and are about waste deep or so.

They may have issued life jackets, but I cannot remember. Turned out to be one of the more tamer acivities...but fun, and perfect for families. No worries, they will take good care of you. Back Country%26#39;s personnel are outstanding.

Thanks for all the help! Thanks Denny for the phone #. I will call today. I think my sister who cannot swim should be Ok. It sounds like a Blast!
