Would you tell me, folks, the location of a good restaurant where I can savor New-York cut steak along with onion soup?
Also, I%26#39;d like you to recommend a good sushi bar/restaurant for me in the Kona area. Last time I went to Honolulu, I was amazed at the way they served me at a sushi bar in Royal Hawaiian Garden Hotel. The idea I had had that you just can%26#39;t savor real sushi other than in Tokyo was totally erased. Wanna find another comparable place this time.
Cheers!
location of a good restaurant in Kona
The best Onion Soup (Maui) is at Rooster%26#39;s (Alii Drive) and the best sushi is at Hayama (Kopiko Plaza.) We don%26#39;t really have a steakhouse in Kona except Outback%26#39;s. You might want to check out konaforum.com for restaurant reviews.

The combination steak and onion soup is very French and only La Bourgone in Kona and Daniel Theibault in Waimea will have it... Rios and Huggos in Kona. Roosters a fine but very tiny hole in the wall.. like 6 ot 8 tables... Kona Inn maybe
As for sushi.. try also Kenichi in Keauhou
Thanks for your great advice.
I really appreciate it.
We actually went to Rooster%26#39;s tonight just to try the steak. They only have Rib Eye but it was done perfectly. Of course I wouldn%26#39;t miss the Maui Onion Soup there, I have it every time, and it was delicious as always. They have jazz music on Friday nights so make sure to make a reservation if you go there Friday since they only have seven tables inside and two outside. BTW, if you pay cash you will get a 10% discount.
Thanks a lot, t.t.
I will definitely go to Rooster%26#39;s some Friday night to enjoy steak, onion soup and
jazz music of which I am a great fan.
Incidentally, I won%26#39;t forget to pay in cash.
