Signature Kilohana rooms at Fairmont Kea Lani - worth extra...

I need to hear from anyone who has stayed in one of the Signature Kilohana rooms (1,100 sq. ft) at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui. Is it truly worth the extra $$? My husband and I have stayed in one of the other suites that was 840 sq ft 2 years ago and are looking into going back to the Kea Lani this fall with a third person. We LOVED the Kea Lani 2 years ago...we were just thinking about upgrading to a larger room this time. The difference in the room charge per night; however, is pretty steep! Opinions, anyone? Thanks!

Signature Kilohana rooms at Fairmont Kea Lani - worth extra...

Sweethome -

We were just at the Kea Lani last week with a large group. We were in a newly renovated suite that had a partial ocean view and we thought it was beautiful. One of the other couples in our group spent the money to upgrade to the Kilohana room. I liked the layout of the room, the extra space was nice and the view was definitely great. Hands down, the suite really is special. However, I still wouldn%26#39;t spend the extra money. I%26#39;d much rather take that same money and visit the spa each day, go to Nick%26#39;s more than once, or rent a cabana by the pool. To me, those are the things that really make the difference in the trip. But everyone is different!!
