It all depends. If it is an absolute must do on your itinerary then book it as far ahead as possible. If you have to do it chances are so will everyone else. Most places offer a discount online anyway, the exceptions are the favorite luaus.
If an activity is a should or could do, then you can probably wait. Not sure you will save much by waiting but that is up to you to decide.

I agree, if you know what you want to do and when, I would book in advance. www.tombarefoot.com has great discounts and a lot offered on each island. I have used his services before in my travels to Hawaii and everything worked out perfect. I even think he does have a discount for the luau%26#39;s.
