Never been to Hawaii for vacation

I was in Hawaii on my way to my first tour in Vietnam in 1970. Only saw the inside of some airport. Not sure which one.

I want to take my wife to Hawaii but not sure to which island. Don%26#39;t want to go where it is too crowded but also not too primitive. Want to go in mid or late July. Suggestions???

There is a real good overview of the Islands available via a ';What are the biggest differences'; thread by onlyonestamp (will bump). All of the respondents know their stuff.

I%26#39;d also suggest that you take a look at Hawaiian Video%26#39;s. My favorite introductory DVD is ';Video Postcard-The Hawaiian Islands'; available at abcstores.com; click on Music %26amp; Videos. You may also find tapes at your local Library, Travel Agencies and Blockbuster etc. Bookstores will also have a good selection of helpful publications in their Hawaii section. Among the better are the ';Revealed'; ';Lonely Planet'; and ';Frommers'; series.

Think that once you get to the point of having specific questions, you%26#39;ll really find the TA Hawaii Forum of great benefit.
