Help! I need airfare to Maui from the bay area(SFO or OAK)at the end of June. prices are so high 700. to 800. Please let me know if you spot any good fares.

If you could go a little earlier, Travelocity is has a special running from April 24-June 8. From Portland, OR to OGG is $460 RT. Should be cheaper from SFO.

if using expedia, i sometimes search under packages to get the cheapest airfare since packages are cheaper then booking airfare alone. For intsance, the airfare alone may be $700, but if you look at the cheapest package for the worst hotel in maui, its usually about $500 or so. Just book it for the airfare and screw the hotel.

orchid: Try Oakland and San Jose as well if you can fly from there. Sometimes they have better deals.

Where on the United site is the $230 roundtrip from SFO to Kona? That is a great deal...

I%26#39;m going in July and still hoping for specials. Aloha had about $400 round trip, but only until June 20th or something. That is now sold out, but I%26#39;m hoping for summer specials to still come out soon. They have in the past, so keeping my fingers crossed.

If you haven%26#39;t already gotten your tickets, Aloha has specials through June 30th out of Oakland. Not sure if the dates are limited but they range, depending on day of arrival/departure, from $350-$450 round trip.

The $230 was actually one-way, not a round trip. I have heard that ATA is now flying from Oakland to Hilo, there may be some specials available for this new route to the Big Island.
