Best Spa for the $$$

Hello everyone....We are heading to Maui in May and while there we will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary as well. I%26#39;m considering something special for the both of us like a couples spa treatment. I%26#39;ve read about the GW, 4S, Hyatt and other spas but would like to know which one is the best and which one is the best for the money you spend.

Any tips, suggestions or first hand experiences are welcome.

Best Spa for the $$$

I can only tell you about the spa at the Four Seasons, and it was very nice. I highly recommend having a massage on the beach. They have private open-air huts that are above Wailea beach. You can hear the waves while you%26#39;re getting massaged--it%26#39;s pretty close to perfect!

I know you can also have a couples massage, and that would be a good anniversary present.

Best Spa for the $$$

My husband treated me to a spa day at the Four Seasons. It was wonderful--highly recommend it!

Thanks for the replies....anyone else have a spa story/experience they would like to share?

The Grand Wailea has a great spa experience also.go there every time we visit, same couples massage offered outside if you like.I prefer the inside rooms, cooler and with the windows open you still hear the birds and ocean.Four Seasons is very nice also, check out their web sites and compare they are next to one another, check out MAMAS Fish house for an outstanding lunch or dinner, have fun!

If having a treatment at one of the above mentioned spas(while staying at another property), do you receive any of the spa/resort amenities(such as the pool, fitness room, etc)for that day? Or can you pay a fee to have these priveledges? Thanks, as we are staying at the Renaissance Wailea and will need to spa elsewhere.

I thought the Renaissance Wailea was still offering their beach massage even during the renovation. Do you have other information? I believe the Grand Wailea charges an extra $30 for spa services if you are not a hotel guest but I don%26#39;t know if that includes use of other facilities.I%26#39;ll have to recheck my info.

The question that MZ32quick asked was the cost at different spas. Can any body help with that. Thanks

Go to the websites of both spas and look at the menu, prices are listed.I REFUSED to pay the non resort fee of 30.00 and they took it off my bill,it was a tip from an employee, that shall remain nameless, employee said when people complain they remove it,sure thing they did!Grand Wailea, prices are high enough without any tacked on fees.I always tip well,I don%26#39;t think the company needs that extra 30.00

Sorry, you do have priviledges at the Grand Wailea,if you are a spa guest for the day,ask at the reception desk, they can give you a pool pass

If you get pool access at the GW with a spa treatment it would be nice. I could get her a good package and maybe I could just get a massage and spend the rest of the time at the pool or using the spa facilities as I dont really need/want a full-out treatment.
