Ferry to Lanai, Golfing for the day at Koele and Manele Bay

My husband and son are avid golfers. Has anyone taken the morning ferry to the island from Maui to golf at both courses, and return at the end of the day?

I haven%26#39;t done it, but if you check with the resorts, they would tell you if it is possible. Cost would need to be another consideration. I think it costs at least $100/person for a round of golf. They are both stunning courses - both with completely different settings.

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

My husband played both the courses several years ago but he was actually staying on the island. I will call the hotels. Thanks again.

It is doable but would require a lot of luck. The first ferry from Maui at 6:45 puts you into the Manele Bay golf course at about 8am or so. If you went right out and played a 4hr round that at least noon. The total transit time between the courses is at least 45min by shuttle so the best you could hope for is a 1pm tee time at Koele. The round concludes at 5pm plus an hour (by shuttle) transit back to the ferry. Last ferry is at 6:45pm.

If you were to try I would think a car rental would be better. That way you are in control of the transit time between courses. The weekday shuttles usually only run once an hour.

It would be a very expensive day, $50 for the ferry, golf is $190 plus tax a round...

An alternative is to go to just one of the courses and play all day. The green fees are for unlimited play.
