Hi, I%26#39;ve been planning my wedding/honeymoon on Oahu for a year now, and I am a little worried about water/beach safety after the sewage spill in March. I%26#39;m thinking that water qualities should be safe come mid-July, but I would love to hear from someone who knows a little bit more about the water quality/bacteria statistics in Waikiki and the surrounding area. All of the Waikiki beaches are open and safe.
The only water there that is not safe is the Ala Wai Canal and it is never safe.
All of the beaches around the entire island are open and safe except for Kualoa Regional Park (Chinaman%26#39;s Hat). It was closed before the spill in March. But even that park is open. Just don%26#39;t go into the water there
