Hi there,
My Fiance and I are keen to come to Maui for our honeymoon next summer (I know its a long way off) but we haven%26#39;t a clue about Maui!
We want to stay somewhere romantic, with gorgeous beaches (not too crowded) and with good places to eat.
Basically we want it to be the holiday of our lives!
Can anyone recommend which hotels would be the best for honeymooners?
Thanks!

Well, unfortunately, the most romantic hotels with the best beaches are also going to be the most crowded ones! That%26#39;s why they%26#39;re crowded! Do you have a budget in mind as far as hotel??

Thanks! By crowded I mean I wouldn%26#39;t want to have to fight for space on beaches/by pools etc...
We don%26#39;t have a huge budget (I thought it was plenty until I saw some of the prices for the hotels in Maui). We have a total of £5k between us.
Congrats to you! I would highly recommend you purchase Maui Revealed - available online (amazon.com or wizardpub.com) or at any good bookstore. It will give you all the details you need about Maui, including accommodations, activities, etc. Best of luck! :)
You might want to look at the Hotel Hana-Maui for a few nights, then the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, Ho%26#39;oilo House in Lahaina, and/or the Four Seasons in Wailea.
Maui is gorgeous. I%26#39;ll be going back for my honeymoon (hooray) in June/July, so I%26#39;ll post a full report then!!!
Congrats!
I%26#39;m on Maui now for my honeymoon staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani. We%26#39;re staying here for 5 nights then Oahu for 3 nights. Our budget is $5500 and we%26#39;re able to do much of the things we wanted. Kea Lani is a 5 star resort and one of the nicer ones on Maui. I booked through Costco, their prices are better than most sites (i.e. expedia, hotels.com, ect..)
Maui is a great place for a honeymoon! Last time me and my guy were in Maui we went the condo route...so I%26#39;m not much help with the fabulous resorts. I agree with getting Maui Revealed..it will be a big asset. Also, there are few things you definitely don%26#39;t want to miss. Drive the Road to Hana (it might be useful to also pick up Maui Mile by Mile for this trek as you will be driving ';on the other side of the road'; from what I gather...it%26#39;s really helpful while navigating that road). Don%26#39;t miss out on Haleakala either...honestly I could go on and on about all the fabulous places to see... :-D
