Kayaking Question

I have only kayaked once and my wife cannot swim. What is the best place to kayak for us? I would like to kayak over shallow water only were we can stand up and be above the water and not many waves. Also, I would like to go to the small island on kayak but am afraid of not making it back. Do the waves push you towards the shore or away? Will I become to exhausted to make it back?

Kayaking Question

we went kayaking while we were there. Ive already posted about it, so I%26#39;ll just paste it in here again.

We went to maui and Oahu and just rented snokel gear on each island. Snorkel Bobs is on both islands. We went to molokini for a snorkel trip on Maui and had a good time, but it felt a little bit ';canned'; if you know what I mean. The highlight of our vacation was a tripp to the Mokulua Islands In Kailua on Oahu. We went with Mokulua Kayak www.mokuluaguides.com and it was amazing. They knew right where to go to see turtles, right where to go for the best snorkeling and told us all about the nesting birds, the hawaiian stuff and everything. If we had gone on our own we would have missed so much. We%26#39;re going back to Oahu next year and the kids are already talking about going kayaking with those guys again.

And jaydev - I read your itinerary on your other post how youre going kayaking in kualoa. I read on another post about Kualoa being closed from contanination. kailuamama was the poster i think. The kailua trip would be great for non-experienced people, the guides make it very easy.

Thats exactly what I was looking for. This tour looks very professional and beginner friendly and it inludes snorkeling for beginners too! I may be able to skip hanauma bay and do my snorkeling here. The price is a bit high, but it looks like it is worth it. Now I will just leave the ATV at Kailua and kayak over here.

Does anyone know where to find a coupon for the Mokolua kayak tour? I didn%26#39;t see one in the entertainment book.

There isn%26#39;t one in the entertainment book, its $10.00 off in one of the visitor%26#39;s guides. send them an email asking if there is a coupon available. They were happy to accomodate me.

I just booked a trip with the mokulua people for next week and have this forum to thank. They olny had a ouple days open, because they said they only take small groups out to lessen the impact. Sounds very professional. Thanks again len2112 and cc.
