Hawaii Trip Rev. 1.3 Final

First time to Hawaii. Been reading planning,Reading and More Planning. Im pretty laid back so the planning is pretty spread out between the sights and stops. Ohahu for 8 days. Here is what Ive come up with. 2 Nights at Waikiki either APacific Beach/Waikiki on the beach. Still aint decided this yet for sure but 200$ difference for oceanfront rooms P.b. Seems the most logical. 5 nights in a beach house in Kaaawa North Ohau pretty reasonable pricewise and Mostly private location. The Last night We will spend in Turtlebay which not sure If we should even bother and just stay in the Beach house the last night. But the Different places I thought would add change to the trip. Whole trip through Expedia averages about 4500$ Air, Hotel%26#39;s/BeachHouse and 6 day rental car. First 2 days in Waikiki didnt think we need a car. What do you think? We have not decided a date yet but will soon. Thanks for your Opinions and advice....

Yikes..wat too much moving around..IMHO I would pick one place as home base and go from there....

Actually, the two places aren%26#39;t bad- we did the same thing on our trip: 4 nights in Waikiki and 6 nights on the windward side. Gave us the best of both worlds. But I wouldn%26#39;t go for a third!

I wanted to Experience Different Places there Waikiki and North Shore. I prefer Quiet over Hustle and Bustle. Just wanted to try the Waikiki thing. Probably will go Maui,Kuai next time I go. But I have to say Maui and Kuai look more like my style. But the Wife and Kids want to see Oahu and part of me does too.
