Hawaii has a gas cap law to make sure our gas is the highest in the nation. :) Regular unleaded is $2.79 at COSTCO and $3.14 in town.

Wow that%26#39;s cheap - I thought it would be at least as expensive as home. Ours is already over $3 a gallon and rising here on the East Coast. (I think a lot of us have the perception that everything costs more in Hawaii, but if you live in a large metro area the prices are probably similar on a lot of things.) The guide books make you think that gas will be outrageous, nice to know it%26#39;s not.

The prices are between $3.30 and $3.60 in town today and COSTCO is just over $3.00.

Aloha from the Big Island! I drove up to Waimea today from Kona and got some gas in Waimea...it was about $3.45 per gallon...I think it was a Shell station.
