We are married adults arriving in Maui 31 May for 7 nights.
We were originally planning to stay in Kaanapali, but have broadened our search.
We would like to be in a one bedroom, or large oceanfront condo, on a beach, with plenty of beach to walk each morning.
We prefer a room above ground level.
Can anyone recommend a place where they have stayed that they can recommend?
ALternatively, if you would never go back, please let us know this as well.
After all this searching and researching, I will need the week in Maui.
ANY help; suggestions; offering; etc. are appreciated.
MAUI - Need condo help
We stayed in a ground-floor unit at the Luana Kai (www.luanakai.com), a beachfront condo in north Kihei. We are already plotting our return!! See TA reviews.

MAUI - Need condo help
We stayed at the Waiohuli Beach Hale in Kihei. It was ocean side in North Kihei(not across the street from the ocean) It was comfortable, quiet, a little tired but reasonably well equiped. They have a boogie board, mats, beach umbrella, coolers and snorkel gear. Nice, nice lap pool, bbq, shuffleboard and well maintained grounds. Great lawn facing the beach. It is one block form the Star Market which is next to the Azeka ?? Mall on South Kihei Road. It is mostly older (50s+) couples staying for weeks or more. We are in our late 30s/early 40s and were very happy. The beach is nice to walk. We didn%26#39;t swim there but drove to great beaches in minutes -- it is close to everything. There are 52 units in 4 or 5 different buildings -- only two levels. We were ground level and it was fine. Nice to walk out lanai door and straight to pool. Check out vrbo.com for options, read Trip Advisor reviews, check Maui Revealed online (Google the name of the condo and click on Wizard Publications) for an aerial photo. Around $110/night.
Also previously stayed at Kapulanikai which is next street over. Only 12 one-bedroom units, small pool, bbq, lawn with croquet. Same price range.
Each of the places has a website with sample interior photos.
Have you tried VRBO? We just booked for some friends at the Kamaole Sands. And did some research beforehand. VRBO has a wide selection in South Kihei and Wailea.
Good Luck.
We stayed at Napili Kai up towards Kapalua and loved it! You get free use of snorkeling equipment as well as free refreshments (juices, tea and fruit) every AM at 10:30. We stayed in the oceanview studios which allowed a great view and nice breezes!
Aloha!
Lots of places to look at:
Maui Kai...beach is a bit narrow but GREAT oceanfront views, quiet place
Mahana...also GREAT oceanfront views!
Napili Shores...quiet, pretty grounds, nice staff
Maui Kaanapali Villas...NICE beach area, geat an ';OceanSide'; unit close to the beach!

Hi Tarainmaui
Me %26amp; my family are staying at the Puamana condos
just south of LAHAINA. Beautiful Property Condos 35 feet from ocean. - http://www.mauibeachhouse.org/
Just got back from the Kaanapali Alii. Fantastic lavishly furnished huge condo, 1 BR 2 bath (but the den was outfitted as a BR also (premier ocean view category), and great location on Kaanapali Beach. Used Classic Vacations for room, flights, and luau. Also hightly suggest the Warren %26amp; Annabelle Show in Lahaina - - it was the highlight of our trip.
We love the Wailea area and have stayed there many times (Ekahi condos). Check VRBO for listings. They have a nice beach, a pool right on the beach (and others in the complex) and are central to good restaurants and the Shops at Wailea. The boardwalk extends from their property down the coast for several miles.
I can also highly recommend the kapulanikai. It is quiet and private and well kept up and about as bug free as Maui can get in the summertime. Call Neil the manager and he%26#39;ll let you know about vacancies which are rare. The project is Canadian owned which is a plus!
You better do it quickly that%26#39;s right around the corner. Try owner direct leasing at www.vrbo.com.Saves a lot of $ over using a reseller. May 31 is REAL soon HURY HURRY !!!!!!!!
