Maui-Where to stay???

Fiancee and I are heading out there in October and we are looking for a few specific things.

1. Water view room(I know most have that)

2. Massage on the beach if possible.

3. Beach where we could swim and relax

4. Near to some town that could be walking distance where there are shops and places to eat.

5. Should be fairly senic.

6. Possibly a bathtub big enough for two.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh, she doesn%26#39;t to go to the Kappalua Bay Resort since I have been there already.

Walk out, jump in.

4. Near to some town that could be walking distance where there are shops and places to eat.

Lot of shops near, more in Lahina maybe 5 - 10 minute drive away.

They have ';garden Tobs'; and they are HUGE

Most of what you are looking for can be found in Kaanapali. One tip: rent direct from an owner. www.vrbo.com

Are you a Condo person?

We stay at the Whaler, which is right next door to a great Mall. Also it is just barely north of Lahaina (2-3 Minutes). 100%26#39;s of shops and stores there.

Take a look at the Westin Maui Kaanapali Villa%26#39;s - timeshare and hotel. studios and 1 bedroom, with jacuzzi tubs. on Kaanapali beach. Note different resort then the westin maui ocean.

The good news for her is that the Kapalua Bay Hotel is being torn down this month to make way for the Ritz Carlton Residence Club. I also recommend the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach, but recommend you rent from the on-site company ResortQuest.com for many reasons and problems I have had from renting from owners directly. Going through ResortQuest also gives you daily maid service vs. weekly.

Do the sheraton,there is no place like it.It is beautifully lanscaped with a great pool and beach.You can snorkel right off the beach at black rock.Front street is only 5 minutes away by car for all your shopping and entertainment.Ocean view rooms are to die for.I also stayed at the embassy it is a great hotel,but i did not care for the beach.Sign up for a starwood membership thru sheraton,its free! and they will almost aways upgrade you to oceanview for free when there is availability.Enjoy your trip!
