What%26#39;s New Years usually like there? Do many people party on the beach?
Also is everything usually closed/quiet on Christmas Day?
One more question... is it usually warm enough to swim in the beach in December/Jan?

New Years %26amp; Christmas in Oahu 2006
We were there just before Christmas. We loved it!
Make sure you stock up on Christmas decorations at Maceys etc.
We really enjoyed all the Christmas lights and decorations around the city, which were even better than what we saw in California!
We did a dinner cruise with a Hawaiian Santa on board. It was cheesy, but enjoyable and good for a laugh.
It was pretty hot and humid in December, for us, so you should certainly find it warm enough for a swim.

We were in Hawaii last Christmas and LOVED it! We loved it so much we are returning this year at Christmas.
The weather was awesome 80-90 degrees during the day, but a bit of a chill at night. Bring a light sweater.
It is really neat to see all the Christmas decorations in Hawaii.
I%26#39;m not sure about Oahu on Christmas Day. We were on the Big Island then.
