I would like to go snorkeling while in Maui. Last year we went with Trilogy and it was our first snorkel experience. This year we will be taking my parents and snorkeling is not something they would want to do.
Can you recommend a site that we could do some easy access snorkeling and they could relax on a nice beach?
Also, can you rent a float device with the snorkel equipment? I think I would be too nervous to do it without a float belt or something similar.
Thanks!
Snorkel Rental and SitesI%26#39;d try Black Rock. The folks could enjoy Ka%26#39;anapali Beach and Whalers Village while you snorkel.

The Sheraton at Black Rock has a little rental shack that rented floatation belts for approx 9.00/day. (I am not sure if that was for everyone or just for those staying at the Sheraton--which we were) I would definitely recommend some type of floatation device as the waters can become strong--one day I did not think I was going to make it back in! Have fun!
Black Rock, Kam III (and II I hear), Wailia Beach. I%26#39;ve heard good thing about Ulua Beach. I really like Kam III overall as a beach. Great shade, pisnic tables, grills, facilities, beach, and good snorkeling (on right by rocks). Also seemed like easy swimming beach as well. Oh, and lifeguards.
Napili Bay near the Napili Kai resort is a great snorkeling spot with a nice sand beach. Not only that, your parents can have a drink and appetizer at the Sea House Restaurant%26#39;s outdoor bar while you snorkel!
I am a timid swimmer and wear a yellow flotation belt while snorkeling. I feel safer, plus it helps conserve energy while I%26#39;m paddling around. Most snorkel rental places have them available.
