I%26#39;ve seen these mentioned lots of times on the boards but have no idea what they are?? We dont have them in England or if we do they might be called something else! Could someone give me the lowdown please! Cheers
Swap meets?Hello,
Going to Hawaii in June for the 1st time, so
not positive about the swap meet there.
Swap meets can also be called flea markets.
Basically people gather there to sell used and new goods for profit.
Sometimes you can negotiate the prices.
We were stationed in Italy when my husband
was in the Navy. I know they just called it
the market. So, think about the market
without all the meat, produce and seafood.
Sounds like the swap meet on Oahu is a great place for souvenirs. Hope this helps.
Swap meets? The swap meet is a GREAT place to stock up on stuff, especially souvenirs because they%26#39;re a LOT cheaper there. Most people who go to Oahu tend to stay in Waikiki and they end up shopping at the International Market Place, which is a great place to shop too, but the prices tend to be better at the swap meet. The swap meet will have things that you won%26#39;t find at the Int%26#39;l Market Place and vice versa.
If you plan to do shopping, think about bringing an extra suitcase to tote it home, or buy a bag at the swap meet... the swap meet is great we hit it twice because the prices were better than the International market. Its at the Aloha Bowl and it wraps around the stadium parking lot twice. They have everything from food to t-shirts to authentic hawaiian items. The people are freindly. A suggestion dont stop at the first booth you come to chances are there will be more and maybe cheaper prices. Its a great place to hit to bring back souveniors. We get there early though because it can get hot and humid fast in Hawaii...Have fun.
the suitcase idea okay
BUT
they sell them at the Aloha Stadium
Swap Meet for a really good price.
Swap meet is a great big garage sale.
If you want to go home with stuff from garage sales then it%26#39;s just yor thing.
