Need some help trying to keep 13 year old girl busy on Kauai for 5 days.....
Day time activities are all set...but what to do at night???
Not staying in a Hotel ,so no activities there...Staying with a good friend who lives there.. Anyone have any suggestions??

aloha! I have had a teen daughter on Kauai - things she enjoyed . . . the open market in Kapaa, getting hair corn-rowed in Koloatown, eating shave ice, wandering around Hanalei after dinner and Smith%26#39;s luau, and oh, saw a movie in Kilauea - great old theater. Hope that helps! :)

Just returned one week ago from Kauai with my 13 y/o son. It they%26#39;re at the beach all day, they are more tired at the end of a day in Kauai than they normally would be. Plus, there%26#39;s several hours time difference, so it feels later than it actually is. We had satellite TV in our condo, and my son watched lots of sportscenter at night. We also played card games, went to Lapperts in Koloa for excellent ice cream, and he really enjoyed the luau.
Yes, the movies are first run--Ice Age 2, released one week previous, was in Lihue when we were there.
You will be on island time, and here%26#39;s hoping it%26#39;s a special time for you both.

Kwils....We are arriving on Maui on June 15.. for a wedding to be held on June 17th... My best friend D is doing it again!!!!! To give the happy couple some space , we deceided to go to Kauai to visit with my other frien S...
arriving on the 19th..to the 23rd.. then back to Maui for another week!!!!
Been to Maui in 2001...loved it!! Never been to Kauai.....so cant wait!!!!
