OK we leave on Wed (19th) and are staying till the 29th! Has the weather been as bad as they say? What should I pack clothes wise? shoes?
I am also looking for the things that will be happening on Maui while we are there... like farmer%26#39;s markets, flea markets, art sales, etc. does anyone know dates and locations for local stuff like that?
What about online coupons? anyone know any good places to find them?
Also status of the construction at Maui Marriott? know what%26#39;s included with the timeshare? snorkel gear? food? any little extras we should know about?
Plus I%26#39;m packing my suitcase what should I bring? what should I buy there?
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!
weather, coupons, local things to do, maui marriott, what...Got back on the 13th and the weather was fine. Go on line to the Maui News and check it. They link to the US Weather bureau. I just checked and it looked fine. Twenty percent chance of showers is not a problem. You must go to the Swap Meet in Kahalui on Saturday. Great gift ideas. It is open from 7am to 1. Get there as early as you can. Check calendermaui.com. and this sight by using the words you are concerned about. Pack only what you will need, swimsuits, shorts, teeshirts, a sweater and one dress or nice aloha shirt depending on your preference. Leave room for the stuff you will want to bring back. Have never stayed at the Marriot so can%26#39;t say anything about that.
weather, coupons, local things to do, maui marriott, what...We love the Maui Marriott and go there every year. Ask any questions about it and I%26#39;ll try to answer.
If you are asking about snorkle gear or food included at the timeshare, neither are included. They will give you a small box in your room with a couple packs of coffee, one package of laundry detergent for one load, and a few small trial size items.
The beach was great in March, wider than usual. Don%26#39;t take beach towels, get them from the pool desk.
I heard you can buy some sort of cup at the marriot to refill your whole stay w/ soda and coffee know any details on that? I%26#39;m just loooking for all the freebies and cheap things I can get! Is there a hairdryer in the room? How big is the fridge in the one room suite? any freezer space?
There is a small fridge, about dorm size, with a very small freezer (VERY small).
The cups are great if you drink a lot of coffee, soda, or iced tea. They are $25 and free refills the whole time you are there. I know they also have cups just for soda refills and they are cheaper, but I forgot the price ($15 or 17?). We always go get our morning coffee, then at least 1 or 2 cold drinks per day, so it works out pretty good for us.
There are hair dryers in the room, along with a ironing board and iron. In the kitchen is a microwave and dishwasher, with all the soap you need.
We usually eat breakfast in the room and sometimes lunch. We go to Safeway the first day and stock up. Sign up for a Safeway card and you%26#39;ll save more money.
Any more questions just let me know!
