Na Pali Catamaran or Captain Sundown

Coming at the of May, which tour of the Na Pali Coastline is better?

Na Pali Catamaran or Captain Sundown

NAPALI TOURS:

Which one, might depend on which shore you are staying, and of course the time of year.

You have lots of choices from 55 ft. catamarans, on down to the fast inflatable rafts that can zoom into the sea caves and under the waterfalls.

Just select they type of advdenture and level of comfort that you wish. And also which shore that you are staying.

The ULTIMATE KAUAI GUIDE BOOK, that should be available or at least you can order from you local book store will also be a great help.

We have had many, many Napali tours with different companies, and all different sized vessels, and each and everyone was superb.

Capt sundown was not one of them, however.

';Kauai Revealed'; recommends these two as the best; both leave from the Northshore; NaPali Catamaran goes into caves and Captain Sundown does not.

I think the op is trying to choose between the two companies that leave from Hanalei Bay. Those two companies are Na Pali Catamaran and Captain Sundown. We have not gone on both so I can鈥檛 compare but I did go on Captain Sundown and we had a great time. The boat carries about 16 guests. The captain and crew were great. The captain has been in Kauai a long time and will talk a bit of politics if you ask. We sailed on the way back which is what I really wanted. Also since you can鈥檛 dock at eh pier we took an outrigger to the catamaran with our stuff safely secured in waterproof bags. On the way back in the goal is catch a wave and surf the outrigger to shore. We were able to do this and it was soooo fun!

We saw some really amazing scenery all the way from Hanelei Bay down the Na Pali coast.

I took Napali Cat when i visited in AUG 05. Very great and friendly crew, i think about 10-15 ppl on their boat. Its not a big boat though and it does not sail. We did go into a sea cave which was cool. Narration was great and pretty much came from the captain. It was only him and another crew member.
